Ministry is how we serve - for that is the root of the word. Each believer is given one or more spiritual gifts to help encourage other believers, and we are all called by God to care for those outside of the church. Together, this is ministry, mission, and outreach. Details of these are in the submenu above.
"But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good."
St. Matthias believes that each person is to commit to 5 things; we call them the "5 Gs". They are:
Gather: To get together with other believers on a regular basis, especially when the whole church is together, and to know and love one another
Gospel: To be centered on the good news of God shown in Jesus; one way is to come to Sunday worship prepared to hear the Bible read and engage in the sermon
Grow: To put regular and purposeful time into one's faith and maturity as a follower of Jesus
Give: To give of one's financial resources as a response to God's presence in your life
Gifts; To discover and use your talents and spiritual gifts for the good of those in the church (this is called ministry) and those outside of the church (this is called mission).
